Choose your lot & floor plan
Walk the community, tour the models, and pick the homesite and design that fit your life. Your New Home Specialist helps you match floor plan to lot — daylight basement, extra bays, or a view that makes you stop on the porch.
Personalize at the design center
This is the fun part. Sit down with a design consultant and choose your finishes — cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting, and fixtures — until the home feels unmistakably yours.
Break ground & build
We pour the foundation, frame the home, and coordinate every trade on a schedule we manage for you. Most homes take about six months from groundbreaking to completion.
Milestone walkthroughs
You'll walk the home at key stages — pre-drywall and again before closing — so you can see the craftsmanship behind the walls and ask questions while there's still time to answer them.
Closing & move-in
Sign once, get your keys, and start your first night. We hand off your homeowner manual and warranty so you're covered the moment you walk in.

Buying a resale means living with someone else’s choices. Building new means you sit down with a design consultant at Carpet Diem, our own design center, and choose the finishes that fit your taste and your budget — cabinet styles, countertops, flooring, lighting, fixtures, and more.
We’ll guide you toward selections that look beautiful together and keep your build on schedule. By the time you walk in on move-in day, every room feels like you.

Foundation & framing
Footings, foundation, and the frame go up first — the bones of the home. You'll see your floor plan take real shape on your lot.
Systems & enclosure
Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, and roofing get installed and inspected. The pre-drywall walkthrough happens here, before the walls close up.
Finishes & your design choices
Cabinets, countertops, flooring, paint, and lighting — everything you picked at the design center comes together. This is where the house becomes your home.

Do I need a construction loan?
No. Candlelight carries the construction financing while we build. You qualify for one mortgage that closes when your home is finished — no separate construction loan, no two sets of paperwork, no draws to manage.
How long does it take to build a home?
Most Candlelight homes take about six months from groundbreaking to completion. Your New Home Specialist gives you a target timeline up front and keeps you updated at every milestone.
I've never built before. Is this complicated?
It's simpler than buying a resale, honestly. You make your big decisions early at the design center, then we handle the construction, the trades, the inspections, and the schedule. You just get updates and walkthroughs along the way.
Can I personalize the home?
Yes — that's the whole point of building new. At the design center you choose cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting, and fixtures so the home reflects how you actually live.
When do I lock my finishes?
